A Shocking Incident Amidst Celebrations Leaves Community in Grief

The incident unfolded during the solemn observance of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, known as “Mawlid al-Nabi,” when the faithful had congregated to offer prayers and commemorate the occasion.

At least 34 people were killed, and more than 70 were injured after a blast in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Friday. A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) is also among those killed in the blast.

The heavy explosion took place near a mosque in Balochistan’s Mastung district, where people were gathering to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammed.

Another official has said that the explosion seems to be of a “massive” nature. He said that the people had to participate in a procession later.
