Abu Dhabi Airport announced that its newest terminal, Terminal A, will begin operations on November 1, and it will operate simultaneously with Terminals 1, 2, and 3 until November 14. Following this transition period, all airlines will exclusively operate from Terminal A starting November 15.
The airport is fully prepared to receive its first passengers at Terminal A, with all major services and facilities in place. To ensure a smooth transition, the airport has launched an awareness campaign to help passengers and visitors identify the appropriate terminal. Passengers traveling from Abu Dhabi between November 1 and 14 are advised to check their terminal information on the airport’s website.

The new terminal’s exact location has been integrated into popular way-finding applications such as Google Maps and Waze. Traveling to Terminal A is convenient by car, with clear highway signage on the E10 and E11, as well as drop-off points for taxis and public transport directly at the terminal.
Frank McCrorie, the Chief Operating Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, emphasized that the new terminal will significantly increase the airport’s capacity. Passengers traveling from November 1 to 14 are encouraged to check the latest flight information on the Abu Dhabi International Airport website or with their respective airlines to confirm their departure terminal.
Additionally, the airport operator has introduced inter-terminal shuttle buses for passengers who may need to move quickly between terminals, enhancing the overall convenience of the airport’s facilities.
