An Urgent Humanitarian Directive Aims to Provide Medical Care to Children from Gaza

In a significant humanitarian initiative, the UAE government has announced its commitment to host and provide medical treatment to a thousand Palestinian children from the war-torn Gaza Strip. This urgent directive was issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, as part of the nation’s unwavering efforts to assist those in need across the globe.

The decision was conveyed during a recent phone call between Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mirjana Spoljaric, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The initiative underscores the UAE’s dedication to offering relief to the Palestinian people, particularly children, in response to the severe humanitarian conditions they are currently facing.

During the conversation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Spoljaric also discussed the utmost importance of ensuring the safe, unimpeded, and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid and medical assistance to civilians in Gaza. Additionally, they highlighted the need to intensify regional and international efforts to strengthen the humanitarian response and address the critical needs of those affected by the ongoing crisis.
