As the world eagerly anticipates the grand opening of the Abu Dhabi Hindu Temple, a significant milestone was celebrated with just 100 days to go before the temple’s inauguration. The momentous occasion was marked by a special ritual where seven spires, each representing an emirate of the UAE, were blessed by Ishwarcharan Swami and Pujya Brahmaviharidas Swami, head of the BAPS Hindu Mandir.
The Abu Dhabi Hindu Temple is situated on 27 acres of land in Abu Mureikha, off the Dubai-Abu Dhabi highway. It is constructed using pink sandstones and white marble, creating a stunning and majestic complex that reflects the rich heritage of Hindu culture and architecture.
The temple’s construction is a labor of love, involving artisans, volunteers, and devotees who have dedicated themselves to this monumental project. The temple showcases intricate carvings depicting key moments from Indian mythological epics such as the Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as other narratives from Hindu scriptures.
Ishwarcharan Swami commended the dedication and selfless service of all those involved in bringing this temple to life, offering blessings for their efforts and extending his wishes for peace and harmony. Dharmendra Pradhan, India’s Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, also visited the temple during his official visit to the UAE, underlining the temple’s significance as a symbol of Indian civilization’s modernity and eternity.
