Dr. Sheela Menon, Principal of Ambassador School Dubai, emphasized the importance of the pre-board examinations and the ample time provided for students to prepare. “We will be holding the pre-board examination from January 2 and will end before January 20, 2024, so that there is enough time to give feedback to the students,” said Dr. Menon. The specific dates for the pre-board exams may vary among schools.
The board examination for Class 10 students is set to begin on February 21 and conclude on March 28, while Class 12 students will undergo exams from February 12 to April 3. Dr. Menon highlighted that schools have flexibility in deciding the dates for pre-board exams, with the first round having taken place in November.
Reacting to the announcement, CISCE school principals in the UAE expressed confidence in their students’ preparedness. Nargish Khambaata, Principal and CEO of Gems Modern Academy, stated, “The students are very active and attentive. Their preparation for the boards starts right from the beginning of the academic year. They are well prepared to take the exams.”
With the winter break approaching, educators believe that students will utilize the break to prepare for the examinations. Private schools in Dubai will be on a break from December 11, 2023, to January 2, 2024. Even during the break, teachers are committed to supporting students remotely, providing assistance and clearing doubts as they prepare for the crucial board examinations.
