In addition to the main marathon, participants will compete in the 10km category, featuring elite and amateur runners. A 4km fun run is also scheduled for beginners and hobbyists.
Sanctioned by the Dubai Sports Council, the 2024 Dubai Marathon is expected to draw international top athletes, rising stars, and debutant runners. The relatively flat course suggests quick times for both elite and regular participants.
Road users are advised to plan their routes accordingly, considering the announced closures, and exercise caution during the event to ensure the safety of all participants and commuters. The RTA is expected to provide further details on specific road closures closer to the event date.
