Weather Forecast: UAE Prepares for Eid Al Fitr Amidst Cloudy Skies and Possible Rain

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the forecast suggests a mix of cloudy skies and possible light rainfall, particularly on Tuesday, April 9.

As the UAE transitions from mild spring weather to warmer days, Dr. Ahmed Habib, a climate expert from the NCM, explains that April typically sees a decrease in humidity compared to March, with fog and mist formations becoming less frequent as the month progresses.

Here’s a detailed look at the weather forecast provided by the NCM for the Eid week:

  • Monday, April 8: Partly cloudy weather is expected, with medium clouds likely over coastal western areas and islands. There is a probability of light rainfall, accompanied by light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds.
  • Tuesday, April 9: Similar to Monday, the day is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with medium clouds persisting over scattered areas. There is a chance of light rainfall, particularly in western regions, along with a decrease in temperature. Winds are forecasted to be light to moderate, blowing from the northwesterly to northeasterly direction.
  • Wednesday, April 10: Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated, with some areas experiencing cloudy skies, especially in western coastal and southern regions. Temperature is expected to increase slightly, with light to moderate winds blowing from the northeasterly to southeasterly direction.
  • Thursday, April 11: The day is forecasted to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with a possibility of rainfall over coastal, northern, and eastern areas. Winds are expected to be light to moderate, blowing from the northeasterly to southeasterly direction.

Despite the cloudy skies and potential rainfall, the weather outlook for the Eid week suggests relatively pleasant conditions for residents and visitors alike to enjoy the festive celebrations across the UAE.
