Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has left fans excited with her portrayal of the fierce ‘Lady Singham’ in Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated action thriller, “Singham Again.” Her husband and fellow actor Ranveer Singh couldn’t contain his admiration, taking to Instagram to shower praises on his wife’s new avatar.
Sharing Deepika’s character poster on Instagram stories, Ranveer affectionately referred to her as “Sherni” (lioness), expressing his pride and support for her upcoming role.
Rohit Shetty, the director of “Singham Again,” further fueled anticipation by unveiling a new glimpse of Deepika’s character through a motion poster shared on Instagram. The video showcases Deepika, in her role as the formidable Shakti Shetty, striking Ajay Devgn’s iconic pose, adding to the excitement surrounding the film’s release.

Last year, on the first day of Navratri, Rohit Shetty unveiled the first look of Deepika as Shakti Shetty, the lady cop. The poster depicted Deepika in a cop uniform, exuding confidence as she sat in front of what appeared to be a burning vehicle, holding a gun in a powerful stance.
“Singham Again” boasts a star-studded cast including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh alongside Deepika Padukone. The film, set to release on Independence Day 2024, marks the third installment of the blockbuster franchise following the success of “Singham” (2011) and “Singham Returns” (2014).
In addition to her role in “Singham Again,” Deepika Padukone will also be seen in the sci-fi action film “Kalki 2898 AD” opposite Prabhas, while Ranveer Singh is set to reprise his role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama. He will also headline Farhan Akhtar’s “Don 3,” slated for release in 2025.
Farhan Akhtar, announcing “Don 3,” expressed confidence in Ranveer Singh’s ability to carry forward the legacy of the iconic character, previously portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. He called upon audiences to extend the same love and support to Ranveer as they did to his predecessors.
