Fujairah International Airport has unveiled plans for direct flights connecting the emirate to Cairo, Egypt’s capital, starting in July. This initiative, facilitated through a partnership between Fujairah Airport and Egypt’s national carrier, Egyptair, will offer travellers two weekly flights on Sundays and Thursdays.
Captain Ismail Al Balushi, Director-General of Fujairah International Airport, emphasized that this move aligns with the airport’s strategy to expand travel options and cater to the increasing demand for local and regional trips. He assured passengers of a comfortable travel experience, with streamlined clearance procedures aimed at enhancing overall travel convenience.
This announcement follows last year’s initiative, where Fujairah Airport introduced plans to connect the emirate to 18 new destinations through collaboration with Oman’s SalamAir. The introduction of direct flights to Cairo marks another milestone in Fujairah’s efforts to strengthen its connectivity and position itself as a key hub for regional travel.
