Parts of the United Arab Emirates experienced heavy rainfall on Tuesday, providing much-needed relief from the intense summer heat. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued orange and yellow alerts for some eastern regions, warning residents to be cautious during outdoor activities due to potentially hazardous weather conditions.

Significant rainfall was reported in various areas of Al Ain, including Al Hilli, Al Reef, An Nayfah, Bad Bint Sa’oud, Al Masoudi, and Al Nabbagh. Light, scattered showers were also observed north of Al Foah. Videos shared by Storm Centre depicted scenes of rain-soaked roads in Al Hilli, with motorists navigating the wet conditions in the ‘Garden City.’

In response to the weather, Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to adopt safety measures while driving in the rain. Motorists have been advised to remain cautious, adhere to changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards, and maintain a safe distance between vehicles to prevent accidents.

According to the NCM’s forecast, temperatures across the UAE on Tuesday could range from 24°C to 48°C in internal areas. The weather is expected to remain humid during the night and into Wednesday morning, with a possibility of fog or mist forming over some coastal regions.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated on weather conditions and follow any advisories issued by authorities to ensure their safety during this period of unpredictable weather.
