UAE residents planning holiday trips can save up to 45% by booking their travels between mid-October and mid-November, according to a report from international travel brand Expedia. The company revealed that residents are more mindful of their spending this fall season, and early bookings are proving to be the key to unlocking significant savings.

Expedia recommends booking flights at least a month in advance to maximize savings. Residents who secured flights during this optimal booking window saved up to 45% compared to those who booked for pricier dates. Popular destinations this year include London, which has seen a surge in searches, with demand doubling compared to the same period last year.

For domestic travel, UAE residents are turning to the northern emirates, drawn by cooler temperatures and a peaceful escape from the usual hustle and bustle of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Ras Al Khaimah has become a top destination, witnessing an 85% spike in searches. The opening of new attractions like the Maldives-inspired Anantara Mina Al Arab has further bolstered the emirate’s appeal.

Internationally, UAE travelers are showing increased interest in destinations such as Paris, New York, and Singapore, with search volumes rising by 20%, 35%, and 60% respectively. Mediterranean islands like Ibiza, Pattaya in Thailand, and Mykonos in Greece are also attracting attention.

For those eyeing cooler climates, Chicago and Boston have become alternative destinations this year.

Top Tips for Securing the Best Travel Deals
Expedia offered a few key tips for UAE travelers to secure the best deals this holiday season:

  • Book flights early: Reserving tickets at least a month before the trip can save an average of Dh2,470.
  • Best days to book: For optimal savings, travelers who booked on October 13, 18, or 22 saw prices cut in half compared to other dates in the same month.
  • Hotel stays: Thursday is the least expensive day for hotel bookings this fall.

With the right timing, UAE residents can enjoy significant savings and a stress-free holiday season.
