Dubai, UAE – Health professionals in the UAE have issued renewed warnings about the dangers of vaping, particularly among teenagers, noting that it can significantly reduce oxygen supply to major organs, potentially causing long-term health issues. The warnings come as the UK recently announced plans to ban single-use vapes starting June 1, 2025, citing concerns over their environmental impact and growing popularity among young people due to attractive designs and fruity flavors.

UAE health experts are echoing these concerns, cautioning that vaping at an early age can lead to dependency and chronic health complications. “We see many young people being drawn to vaping out of curiosity or peer pressure, not realizing the serious health risks involved,” explained one UAE health official.

Although UAE law restricts the sale and use of vaping products to individuals over 18, the widespread availability of vapes in retail outlets and gas stations poses enforcement challenges. Experts are urging parents and educators to raise awareness among teens about the potential health risks associated with vaping to prevent its rising prevalence among youth.
