Mumbai – November 7, 2024: Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are once again in the spotlight, this time due to serious death threats. Mumbai Police confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan recently received a threatening call, leading to the registration of a case under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) BNS at Bandra Police Station. Authorities have traced the call’s origin to Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and dispatched a team to investigate further.
The incident follows another recent threat received by Mumbai Police on November 5, directed at Salman Khan, allegedly from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The WhatsApp message, sent to the Mumbai Police traffic control room, demanded that Salman Khan either apologize or pay Rs50 million to ensure his safety. The message, claiming to be from Bishnoi’s brother, stated, “If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active.”
This is the second death threat against Salman Khan within a week. Previously, another threat demanded Rs20 million, prompting Mumbai Police to intensify security measures around the actor. Last month, on October 24, Mumbai Police arrested a man in Jamshedpur for sending a similar threat message to Salman Khan, again in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi, demanding a ransom of Rs50 million.
The threats to both actors highlight escalating concerns about security for high-profile Bollywood figures. The investigations are ongoing as Mumbai Police work closely with law enforcement agencies across state borders, aiming to bring those behind these threats to justice.
