Abu Dhabi, UAE – The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a red alert on Tuesday morning as dense fog blanketed parts of the UAE, leading to dangerously low visibility in several coastal and internal regions. Motorists were warned of deteriorating conditions, with visibility expected to drop below safe limits until approximately 9:30 a.m.

In response to the foggy conditions, Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to exercise extra caution, advising them to observe changing speed limits displayed on electronic signboards across the city. Authorities emphasized the importance of safe driving practices during these times of limited visibility to reduce the risk of accidents.

Tuesday’s red alert follows similar warnings issued by NCM over the past weekend and on Monday, as foggy mornings become increasingly common with the UAE’s transition into winter. The cooler weather has brought a mix of fair and partly cloudy skies, with temperatures reaching a comfortable range.

The weather forecast indicates that humid conditions will persist into Wednesday morning, with a chance of fog or mist reappearing in certain coastal and interior regions. Light to moderate winds are also anticipated, and calm seas are expected in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

The NCM will continue monitoring weather conditions closely, with further advisories as needed to ensure public safety. Residents and motorists are advised to stay updated on changing weather reports and heed guidance from local authorities during the foggy mornings ahead.
