Residents in the UAE experienced minor tremors during the early hours of Saturday as the country recorded a magnitude 2.8 earthquake, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The seismic event occurred at 3:03 am local time off the coast of Khor Fakkan, at a depth of 5 kilometers. While some residents reported feeling tremors, the NCM stated that the earthquake had no significant impact in the country.
Despite the occurrence of the earthquake, there have been no reports of damage or injuries. The NCM continues to monitor seismic activity in the region to ensure public safety and provide timely updates to residents.
