Sharjah, UAE – In a significant move to enhance the quality of education in the emirate, the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has announced the development and implementation of standardised tests for private schools. This initiative follows a newly signed partnership with Diglossia, an assessment solutions provider, aimed at exchanging expertise and data to support the project.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) outlines a comprehensive action plan focused on achieving the educational goals set by the SPEA. As part of the collaboration, the authority will engage with licensed private schools to ensure the seamless sharing of necessary data with Diglossia, facilitating the effective implementation of these standardised tests.

SPEA officials emphasized that participation in the tests will be encouraged among schools, viewing this initiative as a crucial step towards elevating educational standards across the emirate. By assessing student performance through these standardised tests, the authority aims to foster an environment of continuous improvement within educational institutions.

In turn, Diglossia will provide SPEA with detailed analyses of exam results, ensuring the reliability of the data shared. This collaboration will allow for the development of targeted strategies to enhance school performance based on the outcomes of the tests.

Officials have expressed optimism that this project will play a pivotal role in refining the educational landscape of Sharjah, ultimately benefitting students in private schools and equipping them with essential skills for their future endeavors.
