Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Meets Participants of Annual Camel Trek

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, extended his greetings to the participants of the annual ‘Camel Trek’ during a meeting at the Seih Al Salam area in the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, Dubai.

The camel trekkers, on a continuous 12-day journey through the UAE desert, started their expedition from the Arada area in Abu Dhabi, concluding their trek at the Heritage Village in Global Village, Dubai. The 10th edition of the Camel Trek was organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on the progress of the trek by Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center. The expedition involved 37 participants from 16 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Austria, India, China, Australia, Mexico, Russia, Belarus, and the UAE.

The participants covered a total distance of 557 km, exploring diverse locations across the UAE desert. The event aims to promote tolerance, understanding, and coexistence, aligning with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision to uphold authentic values, preserve Emirati heritage, and foster principles of tolerance and coexistence in the nation.
