Abu Dhabi, UAE – May 28, 2024 – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow warning for wind and rough seas, effective until 6:00 AM on Wednesday, May 29. Residents and visitors in the UAE are advised to exercise caution due to the expected weather conditions.

Today’s Forecast

The UAE can expect fair weather overall with occasional dusty conditions. A decrease in temperatures is anticipated today, with a high of 45ºC, slightly down from yesterday’s peak of 48.5ºC recorded in Al Ain. Abu Dhabi and Dubai will experience temperatures reaching up to 38ºC and 40ºC, respectively.

Wind and Dust

Light to moderate winds, occasionally freshening, are expected to cause dust and sand to blow across various parts of the country. These conditions may reduce visibility at times, so motorists should drive with care.

Humidity and Fog

Humidity levels will rise by night and into Wednesday morning, increasing the chance of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas. Commuters should remain vigilant for potential low visibility during these times.

Sea Conditions

The Arabian Gulf will experience moderate to rough seas, while the Oman Sea will be slight. Mariners are advised to stay informed about the latest weather updates and take necessary precautions when venturing out to sea.

Safety Advisory

The NCM urges residents to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and heed safety warnings. It’s crucial to take preventive measures to ensure safety during these fluctuating weather conditions.
