Travellers will soon have a convenient option to fly directly from Fujairah to Cairo as Fujairah International Airport announced the introduction of two weekly flights between the two cities starting July. This initiative stems from a new partnership between the Fujairah Airport administration and Egypt’s national carrier, Egyptair.
The flights, scheduled for Sundays and Thursdays, aim to cater to the increasing demand for travel between Fujairah and Cairo. Captain Ismail Al Balushi, the director-general of Fujairah International Airport, expressed the significance of this collaboration in enhancing travel options and meeting the rising demand for both local and regional trips.

Al Balushi emphasized the airport’s commitment to providing a seamless travel experience for passengers, including swift clearance procedures, to ensure convenience and comfort for travellers flying to and from the emirate.
This announcement follows Fujairah Airport’s recent efforts to expand its connectivity. Last July, the airport unveiled plans to connect Fujairah to 18 additional destinations through a partnership with Oman’s SalamAir. These initiatives underscore the airport’s dedication to facilitating convenient and accessible air travel options for passengers.
With the introduction of direct flights to Cairo and the ongoing expansion of its route network, Fujairah International Airport aims to further position itself as a key aviation hub in the region, offering enhanced connectivity and travel opportunities for passengers.
